Lidia Thorpe.....5 stars!
The independent senator Lidia Thorpe has been removed from a parliamentary reception for King Charles and Queen Camilla after yelling “this is not your country” and “you are not my king” and “fuck the colony”.

After King Charles concluded his speech, Thorpe walked up the aisle towards the stage, yelling at the royal couple.

“You stole from us,” she shouted, as officials stepped forward to stop her reaching the stage.

… You destroyed our land. Give us a treaty. We want a treaty in this country.

As security officers escorted Thorpe back to the door, she shouted:

This is not your land. You are not my king. You are not our king.

As she left the hall and was forced back into the foyer she could be heard shouting: “Fuck the colony.”
(Guardian live feed)

Fuck this parasite family, they can fuck right off. And Lidia Thorpe is a hero today...in my view.

He's not my fucking king either.

First they came for the 'illegal' immigrants...and i did not speak out because i was not an illegal immigrant.
Then they came for...

She was interviewed by the BBC afterwards and explained herself in more considered language, not the mode of theatrical protest. I thought it was very good. So yeah, fuck the colony is about right, it's good that he hears those words.

I'm not sure how much this was reported outside NSW - the "tarball" pollution on Sydney beaches. Early suggestions were it might have been from an oil spill out to sea somewhere. It turns out to be shit and "fatberg" fragments. Authorities are denying it was from sewage outpours, but something smells bad about this, figuratively and literally. Beach pollution is an outrage, even the anti-woke RWNJs agree on this one.

Concerning.

Add to that i just read that there has been 57 cases of bird flu in the US during this current outbreak, and it's growing. The source seems to vary but most appear to be from cows, or more specifically, people drinking raw cow milk. So the cows contract the flu from chickens and pass it on to humans who believe in RFK's bullshit. No human to human transmission yet.

It is far from unimaginable that Trump's pending reign will coincide with a major pandemic of some type, probably bird flu. I hardly need to point out that a government with an anti-vaccine philosophy is not going to be good for a citizenry during a major pandemic. Those clouds on the horizon really are suggestive of a perfect storm.

Such a bizarre story! Is there a country on earth immune to the sudden impulse of wannabe dictators? Probably not, but it looks like a major fail for this one, thankfully.

I admit to ignorance about Yoon. He seems to be a full-on demagogue, but unlike his fellow despots, he believed his own bullshit a bit too much, without keeping tabs on whether everyone else was whipped into line. I'm reminded of Ceaucescu's sudden fall . He was booed in a speech and had no idea how to respond to it, a riot ensued, the next day the military turned against him and three days later he was dead.

I don't think it's going to come to that in Seoul, I hasten to add, but it's good to be reminded that people have the power, usurpers can be felled.

Lets just pop this here, the death rate of unvaccinated from bird flu of the sort in the US outbreak;
From 1 January 2003 to 27 September 2024, a total of 261 cases of human infection with avian influenza
A(H5N1) virus have been reported from five countries within the Western Pacific Region (Table 1). Of these
cases, 142 were fatal, resulting in a case fatality rate (CFR) of 54%. The last cases in the Western Pacific
Region were reported from Cambodia, with an onset date of 20 August 2024.
Let that sink in, a case fatality rate of 54%! The case fatality rate of Covid was far lower, Australia I think was at 1.3% in the end, but that's with good masking, social isolation, travel restrictions, vaccines and etc, if bird flu takes a big hold in the US and is transmitted human to human the death toll will be catastrophic considering the harm the Trump administration has done to the reputation of the CDC and vaccine acceptance. We can only wait and see, but if it does break out in a major way during the Trump admin it will be bad.

Drones in the US raising more and more conspiracy theories, but really it's obvious init!
US officials have assured the public that the drones, which were first reported over New Jersey on November 18 and have since been spotted in at least six states including New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Virginia, do not pose a security threat — while claiming they don’t know what they are.
They don't pose a security threat, how do they know? Because they know what they are, but of course they are going to deny it because it's secret military stuff. After the mass use of drones by the Ukrainians any country with any sort of military intelligence is going to be madly upping their own drone game, they are a game changer in warfare, they are a big thing. Of course the military can't just fly them around in secret because there's things to consider, like commercial aircraft, but they have to get the practice in.
“If they are our drones, the only reason why they would be flying [at night], and flying that low, is because they’re trying to smell something on the ground. That’s it. There’s no other reason for a drone to be flying in the air other than to piss a bunch of people off at night.”
Or maybe, just maybe, they are testing out heat vision and night vision, things that have proved vital for the Ukrainians and you can't test night vision and heat location in the day, but he thinks they are trying to "smell" something? What he thinks they they are looking for is actually a soviet era nuclear warhead that's gone missing from Ukraine;
Mr Ferguson made the sensational claim that a Soviet-era nuclear warhead had recently gone missing from Ukraine and may have made its way to the US
Um, there are no soviet era warheads in the Ukraine because they gave them all back to Russia numpty, that was the entire point of the agreement in 1996 to guarantee Ukraine sovereignty, and if you don't think Russia didn't know the exact number Ukraine had then you have rocks in your head. Really, they are training for future war, maybe even the current war, but they aren't going to tell anyone that are they!

Former Governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan, has joined the chorus of voices complaining about the drones and accusing the government of a cover up, he took videos of the drones, as he described them, "dozens of large drones in the sky above his residence," fortunately he provided video evidence of the drones. An analysis by, well, intelligent people, revealed the drones were actually the constellation of Orion with the stars Sirius and Procyon behind a tree line. It does occur to me that maybe all these sighting of drones are actually from people looking up for the first time and seeing the stars, I mean if you are uneducated and have never seen them before they probably come as a shock, AKA Asimov's iconic short story "NIghtfall."
