Yes, but i'm not convinced that Musk is indeed safe, simply because of money. This is a movement that is attacking the constitution, they're pretty much lawless, or at least they want to be and maybe they will be. In such a state, we might take guidance from Russia. If i were Elon, i'd be casting just the occasional glance at that open third floor window. And remember, no one really actually likes him.
I agree that the general model of the Trump regime should be understood by looking at the Putin model. But is Trump too stupid to realise that? Is he there yet? He's barely started to become a proper dictator. He stumbled into it from the world of showbiz. He's definitely up for a showbiz murder, maybe starring Mel Gibson and Jon Voight, but is he ready for the real thing? He has also ingested the strange mythology of American power since the first TV President, Kennedy. Meanwhile Melania wants to be like Jacqueline, she doesn't want to be a mere rumour like Putin's or Kim's families. Trump is one of the worst Presidents, but he is always talking about Lincoln and his ilk. If he has a box office bomb because he kills the "hero" instead of the villain, then he won't have his place in history. Musk is a deluded clown too, but he's smarter than Turmp. Not saying much.

Sorry, these are vague, wine-blurred ramblings. I haven't got a clue really.

That's clear then, every law Musk breaks, every illegal act Musk undertakes, including assault and the stealing of government data by his team members, is explicitly at the direction of Trump, clears that up nicely right?

Trump's statement also implies that if things go to shit all I have to say, Elon, is that i didn't approve of that and you're fired! Trump is building his fall guy and Musk, i'm totally guessing, is too deranged to see it.

Yeah, Musk has already set up his own fall guys in the guise of 4 young, and in some cases underage, gormless twats who will be taking the fall for him. Sadly if we think anyone higher up will take the rap for this we are probably wrong. These 4 guys will spend their lives in prison if it all ends up shitfaced, and they are to witless to realise it!

So after the IDF has taken care of Hamas and knocked most of the building down, the US is going to move in and force all the Palestinians out, level the place and build big resorts there? How are they going to get the Palestinians to move out?.......Oh yes silly me.....it's murder isn't it, it's always murder!

Just....idiotic. Ethnic cleansing. Pretty much force 10 evil....if it happens.

I wonder how the other 1.2 billion muslims feel about the US building golf resorts in Gaza?

First they came for the 'illegal' immigrants...and i did not speak out because i was not an illegal immigrant.
Then they came for...

Here he is, full press conference, words like occupation, owning, troops and etc, this is madness, even the Israeli Prime Minister is looking uncomfortable with the way this is going, this is something literally no-one in the region wants! No-one wants another colonial power coming in and taking over bits of the middle east, it's madness and could only lead to a regional conflict the likes the middle east has never seen before, and they have seen some serious shit over the years!

Looks like he is trying to be tougher than Netanyahu. It is ridiculously dangerous. I wish the Middle East was only about the Middle East. Unfortunately it inspires all sorts of global madness. This is one of Trump's most insane moments, and that's saying something.

Neat summation of initial responses to Trump's putrefying brain fart.

I'm kind of doubting any of this will happen...but, yeah...who the fuck knows? And on that question, Trump is probably the most clueless of us all.

Curiously enough, even news.com agrees, seems the Murdoch love affair with the Trump fascist party is starting to sour;
We have said the kindest words possible, now. All that remains is to be blunt.

What Mr Trump is advocating, here, is the dictionary definition of ethnic cleansing. I repeat: Ethnic. Cleansing. Sounds ugly, doesn’t it?

Cloak it in whatever euphemism feels most justifiable to you. What we are doing here is advocating for millions of people to be forcibly thrown out of their homeland to make way for ... what? A new Las Vegas strip, on the Gaza Strip?

Wasn't sure if this was real or not, to oniony for me when I first saw it, but apparently it is real. Trump is opposed to the fast rail in California, the reason?
“We’re gonna start a big investigation on that because it’s — I’ve never seen anything like it,” he said of the over-budget project. “Nobody has ever seen anything like it. The worst overruns that there have ever been in the history of our country. And it wasn’t even necessary. I would have said, ‘You don’t buy it.’ You take an airplane — it costs you $2. It costs you nothing.”
This is a man who has never personally paid for a plane ticket, you can tell right away, he has no idea how much stuff costs, I am betting he has never personally paid for anything!

Trump's suggestion is clearly absurd. It can never happen, he wouldn't send troops, he wouldn't pay a cent for it. He is bullshitting again, completely bullshitting. But the ideas behind it are disturbing. Hearing his Republican acolytes squirm and defend it (Rubio, Johnson) is excruciating. There is no excuse for this insanity, every sane person in the world has to take a stand against it.
