So the UK had a deal with Trump and they had the tariffs on steel dropped. So world pay attention, this was supposedly the agreement;

Zero tariffs on steel from UK to the US, how long did that last? Until Trump threw a tanty! Weeks before he broke the "agreement."

The White House has stated US tariffs on UK steel and aluminium will remain at 25 per cent for the foreseeable future despite the previous trade deal announcement, Bloomberg reports.

So world let's be clear, any agreement you make with Trump and the US is not worth the toilet paper someone uses to wipe his arse, because I doubt he can reach it himself!

Calls for Musk to be deported as an illegal alien. That's fine he can be deported to South Africa then return as a refugee fleeing persecution, that's how it works right?

It's bizarre, even to a casual reader and one that knows nothing about economics it seems a tremendously pointless decision.

I mean the national parks are bringing in well over ten times more than it costs to maintain them, I mean if I was a Musk and had 200b to spend, outlaying on assets that return a whopping 20 times your yearly investment seems a no brainer. I mean no wonder this idiot went bankrupt in every business he tried to run, he can't do simple maths!

At times it really strikes me as amazing how corrupt American politics is. It's so corrupt and dirty it doesn't even get commented on, it's just become an accepted quality of political life. Trump is threatening Musk with 'serious consequences' if he funds Democrats. Sorry...say what? A president threatening to wield the power of the state against an individual if he decides to give money to the president's political opponents - that is banana republic level corruption and yet we all just shrug our shoulders, me included, and pass it off as typical Trump, that's just how things are now.

Anyway, i suspect Musk is somehow waking up to the reality of his situation. He deleted his more incendiary posts of recent days and has gone quiet. Does he have someone who he actually listens too? A close advisor, family member, someone whose opinion he respects and considers? Is someone pointing out to him that outside of a tiny and rather obscure cohort of tech-bro teenage weirdos no one likes him. He is friendless and his businesses will collapse without governmental support. Trump holds all the cards in this pathetic wrestle and I reckon Leon has stuck his head out of his K-hole and glimpsed the disaster. Or not...i guess we'll see soon enough if that's not the case. Either way Musk is fucked and it's just wonderful.

Homan states he is bringing in the National Guard, but only the Governor of that specific state has the power and authority to do that, so unless the Governor of California says so that's not going to happen, unless of course he means the National Guard from a different state, and that's going to be a big problem!

Addressing the ongoing and sporadically violent protests, specifically in LA, Homan declared, “We’re going to bring National Guard in tonight.”

Looks like the end game is here, the justification to declare Martial Law and send the army in to attack civilians is getting close!

Why. the.fuck. yes in words not just initial letters because it is so important, are the media painting over this as a sort of accident in the heat of the moment, a stray shot!

That's it, and that's all it is, a deliberate police shooting on an unarmed reporter!

Everyone who watches the footage can clearly see the police officer look at her, turn towards her, raise his weapon, aim and fire!

I woke up to reports that Trump is about to deploy marines to LA, regular army people. And he's made a threat to arrest Newsom, who has launched a legal challenge to Trump's use of the national guard. Oh great! A legal challenge, that'll make Trump tremble. He'll have to add that one to the other dozens of legal challengers he completely ignores. (Personally i hope he does arrest Newsom and a real resistance movement takes over the Dems in California).

Anyway, i'm a bit in the dark about how all this is going to end. Worst case scenario is that the military will permanently occupy LA, and any other city that resists. If that happens it's officially game over for US federalist democracy, isn't it? Or perhaps the nature of the midterm elections will confirm that.
