Trump has sent his final non-negotiable peace deal offer to Zelensky, let's see, where to start?
US recognition of Crimea as part of Russia
Recognition of all territory Russia controls as part of Russia
A promise that Ukraine will never become a member of NATO
All sanctions lifted
Enhanced co-operation between US and Russia in the energy and industrial sector
So complete and utter surrender by Ukraine, why that last point is there I have no idea since it has nothing to do with any peace deal or negotiation on the Ukraine/Russia conflict. It's almost as if he wished to get the point across that they are now on the Russian side in any negotiation or disagreement between any other country in the world and Russia. It's the final surrender of the US to Russia rather than the surrender of Ukraine to Russia, this is everything Putin wanted, and in the end if this was agreed to, I don't think it will be, he would finish invading Ukraine at his leisure with no fear of any response from the US!
Ukraine can't accept those terms, you'd assume. So maga will either wash their hands of them (haven't they already?) or partner Russia in it's invasion of Ukraine, which sounds ridiculous but then again.
There are four major global blocks - US, Russian, China and the EU. Maga's most natural ally is obviously Russia. Russia is majority white; Russia is basically christian (although orthodox of course); Russia hates LGBTQ+ people; Russia is heavily patriarchal; political opposition is illegal in Russia (although so it is in China); Russia really hates democracy (separation of powers especially legal powers); Russia's leader is a billionaire; and Russia hates the EU. They are Maga. Russia and Maga are natural allies. They're also the only friends the US is likely to get these days, with the exception of Netanyahu's Israel, and a handful of minor dictators.
I don't think it takes a genius to predict where this is heading. There's a real possibility maga will gamble on a major war with someone, and that someone will definitely not be Russia. They may be too timid to go the EU, perhaps they'll leave that to Moscow? I guess we're left with China.
As an Aussie, i'd march in the streets to ally ourselves with the EU, at this point. We remain neutral in a China/US conflict.
Of course, anything might happen, who the fuck knows? I'm quite sure however, that maga want and also need some boots on the ground, somewhere. Because when you have boots on the ground, political opposition to that becomes 'unAmerican,' and thus illegal, which is really the ultimate maga wet dream.

This is how teh Graun summarises it:
Leaks have suggested an emerging US-Russia plan would envisage a ceasefire along roughly the existing frontlines, with Moscow dropping further territorial demands, and the US recognising Russia’s occupation of Crimea
The US has already consigned itself to the status of a shithole country, when it joined North Korea and a handful of other national reprobates, voting against a UN General Assembly resolution in February condemning Russia as the aggressor in Ukraine.
We should ignore what that execrable pumpkin and his lackeys say, if they endorse murder, aggression, and tyranny. It's getting to the stage were Trump is an accessory, and should be indicted by the ICC along with Putin.

If we want to immunise the next two or three generations against populism, fascism, billionaires, anti-science religious freaks and neoliberalism - i think it's going to have to get a lot worse than it is now. Maga appear to be full steam ahead on that front, so there's that. My hope is that some of us may survive - and some very clever people in Australia can negotiate our way out of the northern hemispheric disaster, not confident there, but who knows.
It's gotta be Albo, come on man, stand up. You are Curtin! (But i digress, it's the Trump thread. And also he may not even be PM in 9 days time).

If my flimsy understanding of history is correct, Curtin turned away from Britannia and started the process of welding Australia to the US. If Albo is to stand up, he has to do to Trump what Curtin did to Churchill.
If he could do that and also get a first nations treaty he would go down in history as one of the greatest Prime Ministers. Not holding my breath, but you know, never stop dreaming.

Well we got our answer, what is Russia giving the US in return for the abject surrender of all Ukraine and US power, well the answer is, unsurprisingly, a Trump Tower in Moscow!
He is basically surrendering the world to Russia in exchange for building a fucking skyscraper in Moscow!
If this doesn't galvanise the world and the US population into action I don't know what will, fuck Putin, fuck Trump, fuck them both

I have an insatiable thirst for the failure of Trump and Musk. The sheer incompetence of the Presidency, as it stands today, is nicely summarised in the first article.
The second one is a compendium of the hubris of Musk, who has tanked his own business while taking time off to help Trump fuck America and the world.
What a day in maga world this is turning out to be! Arrest a judge and remove journalistic protections....in the space of a few hours!
We're moving faster now. They have to keep upping the ante because if they slow down the spotlight can focus on a particular illegal act, and you don't want that. So you just pile up the illegal actions, one fast on the heels of the one before it, and no one can keep up, there's no process in existence that can check these policies and illegalities because there's too many of them, coming too quickly.
This is government by gish gallop. It's pretty much unstoppable too, from what i can make out. If you live in the US, it is definitely time to panic.

Oh dear, so what a revelation after decades of being obviously led up the garden path in a manner the entire world could plainly see, except him, is he also going to get rid of the Russian sympathizers and agents in his administration?
US President Donald Trump has conceded that he’s not entirely sure Russian leader Vladimir Putin actually wants to end the bloody war in Ukraine and wondered whether he’s just been “tapping me along”.
Mr Trump signalled that he now believes Mr Putin must be “dealt with differently” and floated the tightening of sanctions to change Russia’s attitude. The stark admission comes hours after Mr Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, The NY Post reports.

Yes, but tomorrow he'll meet with a Russian sympathiser and the problem will switch back to Zelensky.
Less than 24 hours before that post above, Trump tweeted that talks with Russia and Ukraine were going very well and were very close to a settlement. He is utterly clueless.
Imagine the constant sea of egg shells his sycophants have to negotiate on a daily basis, not knowing whose side you're on from one day to the next, not knowing whether today you're going to have to talk about how clever the president is for maintaining tariffs or talk about how clever the president is for lowering tariffs or even how clever the president is for raising tariffs! You have to come prepared with half a dozen different arguments depending on what batshit madness Trump has spewed onto social media. You're a zombie at this point. No mind of your own, a pathetic follower.
