Days after being awarded $148 million in damages against Rudy Giuliani in a defamation suit, two former Georgia election workers have filed a new lawsuit against the former Trump lawyer over remarks he made about them immediately after Friday's verdict.

The new suit by Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss seeks a court order permanently barring Giuliani "from persisting in his defamatory campaign" against the mother and daughter, arguing that he's continued to falsely accuse them of committing election fraud even after a federal jury handed down last week's verdict in Washington, D.C.

The lawsuit notes that Giuliani told reporters after the trial that his long-debunked allegations "were supportable and are supportable today." He also told Newsmax that "he was in possession of video evidence demonstrating the truth of his allegations."

In Monday's filing, attorneys for Freeman and Moss said they'd asked for Giuliani to stop smearing their clients, and said he would not.

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A motion has been filed for an injunction to remove former President Donald Trump from presidential primary ballots in Virginia in 2024.

The motion, which was filed on Monday, Dec. 18 in district court in Alexandria by Roy L. Perry-Bey of Hampton, alleges that Trump is “constitutionally ineligible under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment” to run for federal office “based on his engagement in insurrection against the United States” following the 2020 presidential election.

Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows is expected to rule Friday on whether former President Donald Trump’s name should appear on the Republican primary ballot in March.

Former Portland Mayor Ethan Strimling, a Democrat, and former state Sen. Kimberly Rosen, a Republican, are among those who are challenging whether Trump qualifies under the Constitution to run for office again.

Frank Luntz, a prominent consultant and pollster, said: “Democrats should be apoplectic. Donald Trump has been indicted in felony after felony. The economy is relatively OK and yet Biden is sinking every week and it’s because of something that no soundbite and no messaging can fix: his age. If I were a Democratic strategist, I would have been arrested in front of the White House for begging him to accept four years and move on. You can’t fix age.”

The economy is not 'relatively ok' for the 50 million people living below the poverty line, nor is it 'relatively ok' for the next 50 million people above that who are looking at the poverty line as it advances on them. Elsewhere in that article there is a bemoaning lament that even though there has been good growth in the GDP, people still don't seem to like Biden. I nearly laughed a mouthful of coffee onto my keyboard. But i agree, Biden's age is a huge issue. He should not be running next year.

Business as usual democrats gave us Trump in 2016 and they're preparing to do the same in 10 months time, it seems. You have one very old man defending a crumbling system of governance that benefits very few against another very old man who wants to smash the system to pieces. In a world of internet siloed individuals that adamantly, violently, disagree on basic facts, business as usual is a laughable electoral strategy. It's an issue for left adjacent parties everywhere because facts don't matter as much as they once did. As the right swing into full force fantasy land mode, which reflects the electorate, the left stands there like a rabbit in the headlights with nothing much to offer beside not being the right.

I'm going to call it, if Trump can run against Biden in all the states he needs to, he'll win the election. He is a man of his times, Biden would make a good presidential candidate in the 1992 election though.
