Ok, going to call this as being the shittiest thing I have seen in a long, he has a choice of hitting the car and possibly injuring himself or running over the old lady and the toddler. Could it be, he didn't have the chance to make a decision it was automatic reflexes, possibly, but would I have done the same, I don't think so.

Most drivers wouldn't have sped through an intersection after the lights turned red and had to face something akin to the "trolley car dilemma" (although I expect that swerving to miss the oncoming car was a reflexive action).

I have considered that as a possible, but note he didn't further swerve to miss the old lady and toddler, he could easily have kept his swerve going to miss them, it looked like he swerved then just kept going straight, if he had kept his swerve going he would have missed the pedestrians altogether, it in fact looked like he was turning enough to miss them altogether if he had kept that turn rate up.

I used to ride that bit of road for work every day. Was the scariest part of my ride with a few close calls. Motorists simply ignore the bike lane.

The more dashcam videos I see the more it just convinces me the majority of people on the road or just shit people who really couldn't care less about others. I mean how the hell do you put a child into a child's car seat without actually making sure that seat is correctly installed in the car?

The latest video is out, and what a collection of idiots we have today. I can't help thinking the last clip with the truck, I really think that barrier was put there just to stop that sort of thing, bet there was a sign somewhere back on the road behind him before the last exit "no semi's allowed, all semi's must exit via X street" or something similar.
