We've got flights and accommodation booked for October in Hawaii. It would cost way too much to change now. There'll be some wiping of the phones before we go. There's a reason Annie and I don't use our real names on social media.
As I said on another forum, or was it this one, just having a phone with no personal details or social media accounts can be deemed as suspicious, suggest creating fake social media accounts just for this phone, I mean look at this article;
Canadian actress Jasmine Mooney, who is now a co-founder of the health-focused tonic drink brand Holy! Water, was detained at the San Ysidro border between Mexico and San Diego on March 3.
It is understood the 35-year-old was attempting to enter the US from Mexico when she was stopped at the border, and authorities questioned her about her work visa, which she had applied for twice.
The second time Ms Mooney applied, she went to her lawyer’s office in person — which sits near the San Diego border. Her lawyer wanted to accompany Ms Mooney to ensure there were no issues the next time she applied.
But to the interrogation officer, Ms Mooney said this detail seemed “shady” and that’s when the long, horrific ordeal of being detained for 12 days began.
Just trying to cover bases is all she was doing, but there you have it, no reason for detention at all, nothing listed anywhere, just locked up for 12 days for zero reason, no fucks given by anyone.
“I haven’t slept in a while and haven’t eaten proper food in a while, so I’m just really going through the motions,” adding that she would “never in a million years” have gone to the border had she thought there was “even a possibility” she could be detained.
Even if you think there is zero reason for you to be detained, all it needs is suspicion on the part of immigration officers, and who know how that suspicion maybe raised. A blank phone could be looked at as highly suspicious, put some innocuous picture on it, have some fake social media accounts set up to divert suspicion, you are not going to a safe place!
The only saving grace is Honolulu is not like the rest of the USA. And we are tourists. I'm hoping they stick with the people who might be looking at work visas or who have overstayed before.....
This was bound to happen. The big four don't like local things and local rules, they want everything.
Anyway, i've been thinking about the boycott USA movement that's developing, especially in Europe and Canada. I'm joining it. It's not that difficult for me though. I don't really buy US products. However, there's one big issue - TV/movies. I don't pay for streaming services, so no sacrifice there, but i do occasionally go to the cinema so now i won't be paying to see an American film. Music is also an issue, but that's an ongoing issue really.
This leads me to my point. Hollywood! Fuck Hollywood! What a bunch of spineless cowards these people are turning out to be. I was shocked by the complete lack of political content at the last Oscars (i didn't watch, just read a review). And all these filthy rich actor activists, how quiet they are now days. Perhaps i'm being too harsh and i've just not come across De Niro and Decaprio coming out and publicly condemning maga, it's quite possible, and apologies if that's the case.
Entertainment is probably one of Americas biggest exports? The world needs to stop watching, no matter how good that new TV series is. Fuck USA

It's fine being an activist when you think your side is going to win, when your side loses suddenly activism may have negative consequences. Those activists with nothing to lose tend to be more persistent, but those with lots to lose suddenly start getting cold feet because, well, they have lots to lose! At least that's how I see this sort of behavior. If you suddenly stop being an activist if it may mean you lose what you have then you aren't actually an activist, you are a cheerleader!

Another one, soccer player, interestingly;
However, DHS spokesperson Tricia McLauglin saidthe feds’ determination that Barrios was a gang member goes “beyond a single tattoo” and that they “are confident” in their findings, the New York Post reports.
Ms McLauglin added Mr Barrios was in the US illegally and his tattoos “are consistent with those indicating” Tren de Aragua membership. She claimed his social media posts also indicate he’s a member of the violent gang.
If they were that confident in their finding and had the evidence then having him before a judge to decide based on that evidence should have simply been a formality, so why didn't they do that? Because indeed they weren't that confident!
Doesn't need any explaining, Elon Musk to be briefed about war with China including all defence and attack plans, lol! Top secret is joke in the US at the moment!
What is there to say, really? Rule by mob boss. It's all very...well, Putin's Russia, actually.
That law firm are just collaborators now. Cowards. It won't go well for them. They have an executive order hanging over them, swinging gently, ready to fall should that maga pro bono work ever reach its mythical limit. They'll work for free now until they run out of money.
This will be Albanese's big moment, i hope to fuck he doesn't stumble over it.
You're either with Australia or with maga, ya can't have both, make the choice. That's the line he needs to wheel out (perhaps in slightly more sophisticated and diplomatic terms etc).

Good news on the Kennedy assassination papers released unredacted, the documents were basically all copies of papers that had previously been released, one of the big differences is that the data now available for all to see that was once hidden under black sharpie is.....social security numbers of people involved in the investigation, and just in case you think it doesn't matter because they would all be dead by now, well it included one Joseph diGenova, one of Trumps ex-lawyers who is now 80 years old and still going strong, and whose personal data Trump has released for the entire world to see! Sometimes you have to laugh!

Sophisticated? Diplomatic? We're fucking Aussies, give it to them straight, both barrels!
