I woke up to reports that Trump is about to deploy marines to LA, regular army people. And he's made a threat to arrest Newsom, who has launched a legal challenge to Trump's use of the national guard. Oh great! A legal challenge, that'll make Trump tremble. He'll have to add that one to the other dozens of legal challengers he completely ignores. (Personally i hope he does arrest Newsom and a real resistance movement takes over the Dems in California).

Anyway, i'm a bit in the dark about how all this is going to end. Worst case scenario is that the military will permanently occupy LA, and any other city that resists. If that happens it's officially game over for US federalist democracy, isn't it? Or perhaps the nature of the midterm elections will confirm that.

Actually, i'm doubtful there'll be another election, or at least not a free and fair one. What happens after the orange turd perishes is a bit of a guess but i am skeptical the midterms (if he's still alive by then) will actually happen. It is incredible but far from unpredictable. We've all seen this before, in history and from various dictatorships around the world. We know where this is going, it's like watching an old horror movie in slow motion.

Now lets be clear, the Pentagon on its own doesn't suddenly decide to review a military agreement between 2, or possibly 3, countries, they would only do that if they were ordered to do so, by the President or his lackey Hegseth. I also think that would only be done if Trump wanted to be out of that agreement, he's after some justification, however small, that means he can tell the AU government to go away.

I view him as a psychopath whose desire for gratification has no tangible limit. He will demand rent, tribute, blood and organ donation, worship, and he will have not one iota of remorse if any of his acolytes perish after they give their lives for his glory. This applies to individuals or collective entities, be they companies or charities or nation states or whatever. AUKUS was folly under Biden, it is suicide under Trump. This is a GOLDEN opportunity for Australia, relegated to turkey status by scummo, to get off the slaughterhouse conveyor belt as Thanksgiving approaches.

I find it disturbing to contemplate the likelihood of Albanese missing his chance to flee, and instead clinging to his place in the abattoir queue.

The local police chief in charge of handling Los Angeles’ response to the protests in recent days has shot down Donald Trump’s claim that law enforcement “asked” him to intervene.

Mr Trump made that claim on Wednesday evening, US time, which was otherwise consumed by his attendance at the musical Les Miserables at Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Centre.

“What we have is a situation in Los Angeles that was caused by gross incompetence,” he said.

“They didn’t have the police to handle it. The police were asking us to come in. They were very late. We had to go in to save a lot of ICE officers, as you know, who were holed up in a building, and they were being attacked. And the military went in, the National Guard went in. They got them.

This is just lie stacked upon lie. The police didn't call for the national guard, the military didn't go in and get them out. I have read the ICE agents set of a false fire alarm, and when the fire trucks showed up the crowd backed away to let them tend to the emergency, and during that period the ICE agents made their escape. Calling a false alarm in such a period, when they may be urgently needed elsewhere, should be a criminal offence.

So, the appointment of AUKUS sceptic and Under Secretary of Defence Elbridge Colby to lead the review has raised fears about his true intentions.

Last year, Colby called the idea of selling US submarines to Australia “crazy”.

He stated the move would weaken the US Navy’s ability to put powerful assets where needed in times of crisis.

Called the plan crazy, he's an AUKUS skeptic, whatever he thinks that means, it seems to have been hijacked by the denial brigade these days specially anti-vaxxers who portray themselves as Vaccine Skeptics, lol!

It's over Albanese, you will never be able to do enough to please Trump, you might in the short term get a small bone thrown your way, but in the medium/long term we will never see a single submarine, and to add to that, we will never get our money back either!
